Celebrating Wholeness
We just returned from a gathering of transformation leaders where the purpose was to renew, refresh and learn from each other. Here’s what stands out for me after only a day. We were all coming into the same room through different doorways, and in this vast room everything was welcome.
Different personality aspects, painful past experiences, contrasting points of view all dissolved in the love and presence, the invitation to be with all of it. I delighted in experiencing different processes (e.g., got a taste of Genpo Roshi’s Big Mind process and Sonia Choquette’s wild dancing spirit, as well as Stewart Emery’s wicked wit) that affirmed that we are all after the same thing. We all want to be seen, heard and accepted for all of our “parts,” and we all want to do something we love that makes a difference for others.
Gay and I had the opportunity to share the Relationship Catalyst process (we’re planning to release this program this fall, so look for more details soon) with the group, and we were delighted to affirm another truth: in the presence of willing participation, synergy really blossoms. We expanded and deepened the process in the full-on enthusiasm of the group. Plus, we had even more fun making up new aspects of the process that arose spontaneously. The whole weekend deepened my sense that each of us makes an enormous contribution to our mates, families and communities when we love and welcome what is arising in thoughts, feelings and sensations. When you say yes to you, you include. And everybody likes to be invited to the party.
What can you invite to your party today?
