A Shoutout To Our Facebook Friends

Yesterday I experienced a welling up of gratitude for our Facebook community and the quality of conversation that people are generating on our fan page: www.facebook.com/relationshipadvice.  It seems that especially over the last couple of months people have been sharing experiences that they’ve learned from, a depth of understanding of principles that used to meet with blank stares or just plain opposition, and a generosity of spirit that’s a total pleasure to receive.

For example, when we posted tips about making work/home transitions smoother and more balanced, Jan posted this: “I know of some people who have a small bowl of water outside their entrance door to their home. They dip their fingers in before entering the home to signify that they wash off the residue of work before entering.” On the issue of revealing (which we’ve had people defend righteously on national television in the past, Jeffrey shares: “Recently I did not communicate unhappiness ... because I was actually going to blame. I let it hang over me til the next day. I found I was holding onto blame and resentment in order to deflect my own vulnerabilities, and I was not letting the person's essence connect with mine. I communicated that. Much understanding flowed :).

I’m delighted that the principles and skills we’ve been teaching (and living) for thirty+ years are being woven so deeply into many peoples’ lives. Talking about taking healthy responsibility would bring sweat and frowns to most peoples’ faces. On a recent tweet about projection, Gabriella said: “wonderful timing guys!! I actually had a chat to myself whilst on my power walk yesterday to just let go and go with the flow, that I have no control over other peoples feelings etc and I can't control the situation and just let him go....stop working/trying for love and just put that energy into love for myself....thank you xoxo”  Establishing a psycho-spiritual practice got this suggestion from Rhonda: “Starting your day with some simple breathing exercises...and visualizing how you want your day to go and what you are grateful is a wonderful practice. Start with 5 minutes before you get out of bed and work your way up to 15...than 30..”.

So thank you, friends! I am swirling inside with delight having a growing community of committed learners with whom to relate. I appreciate so much your willingness to share, to open your hearts to others and to keep stepping into the unknown to create the conscious
