I love describing the link between science and body intelligence/physiology processes, finding connections and creating a bridge between these two worlds and communicating it to people in a way that’s easy to understand. I love putting my creativity to full use in any way that I can!!! I’m also passionate about indian classical dance and the language that it gives me to put my essence into action, I’m currently taking a certification to teach bollywood dance/fitness.
What vision do you have for your life and your coaching practice?
Creativity everyday full of what I love to do, connecting people to do the same
What are the top three things you love about coaching?
The privilege of listening to someone’s inner thoughts and life..
I get to connect with my essence and enable others to shift easily
I remember how simple and easy life can be if I allow it to be.
Before I started coaching I …
was told I’d be a great advice columnist as all my school friends would come to me for advice!
I’ve had a long career as a scientist and as a faculty member at a US university. I find body intelligence fascinating and medical science is only now beginning to catch up with all the positive benefits of moving, breathing and loving. I love how coaching enables me to direct people towards their most fun creative selves.
What makes you laugh?
Silly British comedians (think Political/cultural comedy shows and John Oliver..),
The Leadership and Transformation group when we get together, its the one place I’ve learned to grow whilst having a really good time.
The legacy I want to leave behind is …
She loved well.. She inspired others to love well and create their own paths. I expressed my full creativity and inspire others to do the same
Who are your top three people you would want to coach and why?
- Elizabeth Warren, she’s the most sensible woman in politics we’ve had for a long time, I’d love to see her as President in 2016.
- George Bush about 10 years ago. We can’t go back in time, though I would have loved to tell him about the integrity skills I’ve learned with the Hendricks and wonder about what would have happened.
- The Queen of England.. it really is OK to show emotion in public!!!
What were the greatest benefits you received from studying at the Hendricks Institute?
I’ve learned to shift from blame to creativity, and take responsibility for creating what I want in my own life. I’ve taken chances and jumped into the unknown, creating an adventure I would have never have imagined!
The movie that inspired me most was__. Why? The book?
Meet Joe Black
It covers so many different aspects of what makes us human, the same whoever we are.. and what we yearn for , love, connection, relationship; and that death is the ultimate leveler for all of us..
The Bhagavad Gita, I used to carry it around in my back pocket as a grad student!
What brings you the most joy in your day to day life?
Connecting with the people I love, dancing and moving
What ten things could you not do without?
Connecting with others, I don’t think I’d recognize myself without it.
Water, especially the ocean variety.
English Breakfast Tea (with milk and sugar of course ☺)
Movement and Indian dance, I do it every day in some form or another, it feeds my soul and sets my expression free!
The Leadership and Transformation group, the most fun learning experience with an equally cool group of people committed to learning in every moment.
