Today is Friday and I feel ...

Today is Friday and I feel a pressing in my chest. I'm tightening my jaw. I'm shallowing my breath. I'm holding my shoulders up. Today is Friday and I feel sad and angry.

No story. No drama.

This is my experience of the minute. I'm tempted to judge that I'm having the 'wrong experience'. And now, in this moment, I re-commit to being with my body sensations lovingly.

As I write that sentence, my gaze lands on the poster beside me. Here's what it says:

Learning to Love Yourself.

Love yourself exactly as you are and you are forever changed.

Love everything you can from wherever you find yourself.

Think of someone you love a lot and love yourself that much.

When you forget how to love yourself, love yourself for forgetting.

Jump from logic into the safety net of love.

Open your love big enough to hold all your feelings.

Love others exactly as they are and they are free to change.
